Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of injection molding processes for medical device and automotive applications.
- Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring seamless transition from prototype to full-scale production.
- Validate and troubleshoot molding tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO, FDA, IATF).
- Implement automation and vision systems to enhance quality control and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve technical challenges and improve yield.
- Conduct process capability studies (Cp/Cpk) and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in molding and tooling.
- Ensure adherence to cleanroom manufacturing protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in injection molding, tooling, and NPI processes, preferably in medical device or automotive industries.
- Proven expertise in process validation, DOE (Design of Experiments), and statistical analysis.
- Hands-on experience with automation systems, robotics, and vision inspection technologies.
- Familiarity with cleanroom manufacturing standards (ISO 13485, IATF 16949).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Moldflow) and MES/ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
