Responsibility
- Design, develop, and oversee comprehensive ore characterization and metallurgical test work programs to optimize mineral processing efficiency.
- Lead the evaluation and interpretation of metallurgical data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
- Collaborate with geologists, mining engineers, and operations teams to integrate metallurgical insights into project planning and execution.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex metallurgical challenges, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and environmental regulations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in metallurgy and mineral processing to drive innovation within the organization.
- Ensure all metallurgical processes adhere to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards and corporate policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in metallurgical engineering, with a focus on mineral processing, ore characterization, or extractive metallurgy.
- Proven expertise in designing and executing metallurgical test work programs, including bench-scale and pilot-scale testing.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in metallurgical software (e.g., HSC Chemistry, JKSimMet, METSIM) and data analysis tools.
- Experience working in the mining or resource development industry, with a deep understanding of mineral processing flowsheets and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience mentoring junior staff and leading cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Indonesian mining regulations and global metallurgical standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) is highly desirable.
