Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive hydrogeological investigations, including field surveys, drilling supervision, and aquifer testing.
- Develop and implement groundwater flow models using industry-standard software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW).
- Analyze geological, hydrological, and geochemical data to assess water availability and quality.
- Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments (EIAs), and water management plans for regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and government agencies, to design sustainable water solutions.
- Monitor groundwater levels, contamination risks, and extraction impacts to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
- Provide expert recommendations for water resource development, conservation, and remediation strategies.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in hydrogeology and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hydrogeological assessments, preferably in mining, energy, or environmental consulting.
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), groundwater modeling software, and data analysis tools (Python, R, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of groundwater flow systems, contaminant transport, and water chemistry.
- Experience with environmental regulations in Indonesia or Southeast Asia (e.g., Indonesian Government Regulation No. 22/2021 on Water Resources).
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in remote or field-based settings and travel as required.
- Certification in hydrogeology or environmental management (e.g., PG, CGWP) is advantageous.
