Responsibility
- Lead the merchandising process from product conception to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective production
- Collaborate with design teams to translate concepts into commercially viable products with attention to fabric, embroidery, and accessory details
- Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to optimize production workflows
- Develop and maintain production timelines, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards
- Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation
- Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure all products meet company standards and customer expectations
- Prepare comprehensive product specifications, including technical drawings, material requirements, and costing information
- Monitor inventory levels and production capacity to prevent stockouts or overproduction
- Provide regular reports on production progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior management
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in garment merchandising or related roles within the apparel industry
- Strong technical knowledge of garment production processes, including cutting, sewing, embroidery, and finishing
- Experience with border processes, embellishments, and accessory detailing in apparel manufacturing
- Proficient in reading and creating technical specifications and production documentation
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for international supplier coordination
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production data and market trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software (e.g., CAD, PLM systems)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience working in Bali or with Balinese manufacturers is a plus
