Responsibility
- Post charges and payments accurately and efficiently in the billing system.
- Reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure correct payment processing.
- Manage and resolve claim denials in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare billing standards.
- Coordinate with accounts receivable teams to optimize revenue cycle management.
- Provide training and support to junior billing staff as needed.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing software and EHR systems.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Certification in medical billing (e.g., CPC, CPB) is a plus.
