Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for aerospace-grade fasteners, ensuring compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct process validation and first article inspections (FAI) to guarantee product integrity and traceability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and PFMEAs.
- Evaluate and recommend new materials, tools, and technologies to improve product performance and manufacturability.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations in all manufacturing activities.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and production staff to uphold quality and precision standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on aerospace, automotive, or precision components.
- Proven expertise in fastener manufacturing processes (e.g., cold heading, thread rolling, heat treatment).
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools for design validation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D methodology.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage projects and mentor team members.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g., IoT, automation) is highly desirable.
