job description
Join InDrive, the global tech unicorn revolutionizing ride-hailing and beyond, as we expand our Darkstore vertical across Southeast Asia! We’re seeking a dynamic, hands-on Senior Marketing Manager to lead the launch and scaling of this high-growth initiative in Bali’s most vibrant hubs—Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, and more.
In this role, you’ll craft data-driven, hyper-local marketing strategies to drive adoption, engagement, and revenue for our on-demand darkstore services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and brand positioning in a competitive market. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new business vertical from the ground up in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.
Why Bali? With its thriving expat community, digital nomad ecosystem, and booming e-commerce demand, Bali is the perfect launchpad for InDrive’s next big leap. You’ll work in a fast-paced, innovative environment with the autonomy to experiment, iterate, and scale what works.
Responsibility
- Strategy & Launch: Develop and execute end-to-end go-to-market strategies for InDrive’s Darkstore vertical in Bali, including pre-launch buzz, pilot testing, and full-scale rollout.
- Performance Marketing: Lead paid acquisition campaigns (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.) with a focus on ROAS, CAC, and LTV optimization for darkstore services.
- Localization & Partnerships: Build strategic alliances with local influencers, delivery networks, and retail partners to accelerate market penetration.
- Brand & Content: Oversee localized content creation (social media, blogs, videos) tailored to Bali’s multicultural audience, highlighting speed, convenience, and value.
- Data & Analytics: Monitor KPIs (conversion rates, order volume, retention) and leverage insights to refine targeting, messaging, and channel mix.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and scale a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and rapid execution.
- Competitive Intelligence: Track rival darkstore and q-commerce players, identifying gaps and opportunities to differentiate InDrive’s offering.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product, operations, and tech teams to align marketing efforts with inventory, logistics, and UX improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in marketing, with at least 2 years in a senior/leadership role (e-commerce, q-commerce, or darkstore experience is a major plus).
- Proven track record of scaling B2C products in Southeast Asia or emerging markets, with measurable impact on growth metrics.
- Expertise in performance marketing (Meta Ads, Google Ads, programmatic) and attribution modeling (MMM, incrementality testing).
- Strong analytical skills (SQL, Excel, or BI tools like Tableau/Power BI) to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Experience managing budgets of $50K+/month with a focus on efficiency and ROI.
- Fluency in English (required); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other Southeast Asian languages is a bonus.
- Deep understanding of Bali’s consumer behavior, digital trends, and logistical challenges (or willingness to relocate and immerse quickly).
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and owning outcomes in a high-growth startup environment.
