Responsibility
- Oversee and optimize weekly container flow execution across assigned regional areas, ensuring alignment with global logistics targets.
- Develop and implement new processes and regional rollouts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce transit delays.
- Collaborate with port authorities, customs, and internal teams to streamline container movement and resolve operational challenges.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics for container turnaround, vessel utilization, and cost efficiency, providing actionable insights.
- Lead cross-functional projects to introduce automation, digital tools, or process improvements in regional logistics.
- Serve as the primary liaison between regional offices and headquarters for flow execution updates and strategic adjustments.
- Conduct risk assessments and contingency planning to mitigate disruptions in container supply chains.
- Mentor and train local teams on best practices for container flow management and compliance with Hapag-Lloyd standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in container shipping, logistics operations, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in regional container flow optimization, vessel scheduling, or port operations.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in logistics software (e.g., TMS, ERP) and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English (additional Asian languages are advantageous).
- Experience working in multinational environments and managing remote or distributed teams.
- Familiarity with customs regulations, INCOTERMS, and maritime law in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Ability to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (expat packages available for eligible candidates).
