Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic commodity management plans to optimize costs, efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
- Lead vendor management initiatives, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Oversee supplier relations, fostering long-term partnerships and ensuring consistent quality and delivery of goods and services.
- Manage inventory strategy to balance supply and demand, minimize waste, and reduce carrying costs.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, logistics, and finance teams, to align commodity strategies with overall business objectives.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and geopolitical factors to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the commodity management function to enhance data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain roles, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, commodity trends, and financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on driving performance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain management software.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
