Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation and instrumentation systems to optimize industrial processes.
- Develop and maintain PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems to enhance control and monitoring capabilities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for instrumentation failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve system reliability.
- Oversee calibration, testing, and maintenance of instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives by optimizing maintenance schedules and reducing unplanned downtime.
- Ensure all systems adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, OSHA).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering (Masterâs preferred).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in instrumentation, automation, or control systems engineering, preferably in pulp & paper, manufacturing, or process industries.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider), DCS (Honeywell, Emerson), and SCADA systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
- Experience with instrument calibration, loop tuning, and troubleshooting in a high-volume production environment.
- Familiarity with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety standards (IEC 61511).
- Excellent project management and leadership skills with a track record of delivering complex automation projects.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
