Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies and procedures in accordance with national and international standards.
- Conduct regular surveillance and analysis of infection data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
- Provide expert guidance and training to healthcare staff on infection prevention, hygiene practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with clinical teams to investigate and manage outbreaks, ensuring rapid and effective response.
- Monitor compliance with infection control protocols and recommend improvements to enhance patient and staff safety.
- Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in infection control to ensure evidence-based practices.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and regulatory bodies on infection control performance and initiatives.
- Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance healthcare delivery and reduce infection risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree in Infection Control, Public Health, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3 years in infection control or a related specialty.
- Certification in Infection Control (e.g., CIC) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, and infection prevention principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs for healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., JCI, WHO).
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
