Responsibility
- Lead geotechnical investigations, including site characterization, soil testing, and risk assessment for infrastructure projects.
- Design and analyze foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and earthworks using advanced geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and environmental specialists to integrate geotechnical solutions into multidisciplinary projects.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and design recommendations for clients and regulatory authorities.
- Oversee fieldwork, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Provide expert advice on geohazards (e.g., liquefaction, landslides) and climate-resilient design strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in geotechnical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on built environment projects (e.g., buildings, bridges, coastal structures).
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, gINT) and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian geotechnical standards (e.g., SNI) and international codes (e.g., Eurocode, ASCE).
- Experience with site investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical reporting.
- Familiarity with BIM, GIS, or numerical modeling is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or willingness to pursue certification.
