Responsibility
- Lead the development of new food products from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer preferences.
- Conduct research and experiments to improve existing product formulations, focusing on taste, texture, shelf life, and nutritional value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and marketing, to ensure seamless product launches.
- Oversee sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather feedback and refine product offerings.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the R&D process.
- Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
- Stay updated on emerging food technologies, ingredients, and industry innovations to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the R&D department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food product development, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing techniques.
- Experience with sensory analysis, shelf-life testing, and regulatory compliance in the food industry.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software for food analysis and formulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
