Responsibility
- Maintain and optimize equipment-host communication systems to ensure seamless data flow between manufacturing equipment and CIM systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to automation systems, minimizing downtime and production interruptions
- Develop, test, and implement automation solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality
- Collaborate with operations teams to support daily manufacturing activities and address equipment-related challenges
- Ensure proper system integration between various manufacturing execution systems (MES), equipment control systems, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and predictive maintenance
- Create and maintain technical documentation for automation systems, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operations staff on equipment automation best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment automation, CIM, or semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages for automation development
- Experience with SECS/GEM, HSMS, and other semiconductor equipment communication protocols
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration
- Proven track record of troubleshooting complex automation systems and reducing equipment downtime
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques for equipment performance optimization
- Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to document technical processes clearly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities
