Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and products from concept to production.
- Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.
- Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, and tolerance analysis to optimize product functionality and durability.
- Prototype and test designs, analyzing results to refine and improve performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and product design.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
- Ensure compliance with local and international engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) and simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Portfolio showcasing previous design projects is highly advantageous.
