Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable PostgreSQL database solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and propose optimal database architectures.
- Optimize database performance, security, and reliability in cloud environments.
- Lead database migration projects from on-premises to AWS cloud.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including schemas, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest PostgreSQL and AWS database technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in production environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Architect or similar role, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
- Strong expertise in AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, Redshift).
- Proven experience in database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with database migration tools and strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment.
