Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based data warehouse structures to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Optimize database queries and performance tuning to enhance system efficiency and response times.
- Monitor and manage data storage solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate databases with applications and ensure seamless data flow.
- Develop and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing timely support to internal stakeholders.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripting and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and recommend innovations to enhance our data infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with expertise in cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in SQL, database design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of data security, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Certifications in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator) are a plus.
