Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection, risk scoring, and payment optimization.
- Lead end-to-end data science projects, from hypothesis generation to production deployment, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate ML models into GoPayâs core systems.
- Analyze large-scale transactional data to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Optimize existing models for accuracy, latency, and cost-efficiency in a high-volume payments environment.
- Develop A/B testing frameworks and experiment with new algorithms to enhance user experience and security.
- Create real-time monitoring dashboards and alerts for payment system health and fraud trends.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices in MLOps and data governance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a focus on financial services or payments.
- Masterâs or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost).
- Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade ML models at scale.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and anomaly detection.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with payment systems, fraud detection, or risk management is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to bridge technical and business teams.
