Responsibility
- Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS-based data pipelines using Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes in S3 and Athena for performance and cost efficiency.
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality, actionable data sets.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Enforce data governance and security best practices in compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in AWS cloud services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
