Responsibility
- Identify and execute opportunities to replace or upgrade server components to enhance performance and reliability.
- Validate cabling, network environment builds, and connectivity to ensure optimal data center operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement system upgrades and maintenance schedules.
- Monitor data center environments, including temperature, power, and security, to prevent potential disruptions.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and incident reports for future reference and compliance.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Ensure adherence to Oracle’s security protocols and industry best practices for data center management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations, server maintenance, or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards (e.g., Cat6, fiber optics).
- Experience with data center monitoring tools and environmental control systems.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Proficient in documentation and reporting, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
