Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals in the preparation of compiled financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
- Oversee the collection, organization, and verification of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and implement efficient financial reporting processes to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and clarify financial information.
- Review and quality-check financial reports before submission to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on best practices in financial compilation and reporting.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and ensure team adherence to new guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, compilation, or auditing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other financial reporting frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
- Experience working in international or remote teams is an advantage.
