Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs for milling machines to ensure precision and efficiency in production.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications for CNC machining.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and analyze machining processes to identify areas for improvement in speed, accuracy, and material usage.
- Train and mentor junior programmers and machine operators to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards in all machining operations.
- Work closely with the procurement team to recommend tooling and materials that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Document programming changes, process improvements, and best practices for future reference.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer, with a focus on milling machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and G-code programming.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and machining principles.
- Experience with a variety of materials, including metals (aluminum, steel, titanium) and composites.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, such as tool wear, surface finish problems, and dimensional inaccuracies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Certification in CNC programming or a related field is a plus.
