Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Automate cloud operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security using GCP tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Security Command Center).
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related incidents to maintain high availability.
- Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on GCP solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with expertise in GCP (Google Cloud certifications preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cloud services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.).
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Prior remote work experience is a plus.
