Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of new biomedical equipment to ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, and local regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement modification protocols for biomedical devices to enhance functionality, safety, and user experience.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess clinical needs and translate them into technical specifications for medical equipment.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of biomedical systems in hospitals and research facilities.
- Prepare and present technical reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Train medical staff and engineers on the proper use, troubleshooting, and safety protocols of biomedical equipment.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in biomedical engineering and recommend innovations to improve healthcare delivery.
- Lead cross-functional projects to integrate new medical technologies into existing healthcare systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in biomedical equipment testing, validation, or regulatory compliance.
- Proven expertise in medical device standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601, FDA 510(k)).
- Strong knowledge of biomechanics, medical imaging systems, or prosthetic design is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and liaising with healthcare providers.
- Certification in Biomedical Engineering (e.g., CBET, CCE) is highly desirable.
