Responsibility
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of aerodrome infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, and local aviation regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of aerodrome facilities to identify safety risks, operational inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, and international aviation authorities to develop and execute aerodrome development strategies.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrading of runways, taxiways, aprons, and other critical aerodrome components to ensure operational readiness.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for aerodrome projects, presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on aerodrome safety management systems (SMS) and emergency response planning.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in aerodrome engineering to drive innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in aerodrome engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 14, FAA standards, and local aviation regulations.
- Proven experience in aerodrome design, construction, and maintenance, including runway, taxiway, and apron projects.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
