Responsibility
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow reports.
- Collaborate with global teams to consolidate financial data, reconcile intercompany transactions, and support audit requirements.
- Optimize accounting systems and workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
- Manage tax compliance, filings, and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and reconciliations for multinational companies.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and experience with consolidated financial statements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Experience in the hospitality, SaaS, or tech industry is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment.
