Responsibility
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., PFRS, IFRS).
- Reconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and other statutory requirements in the Philippines and Indonesia.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for business optimization.
- Support grant and sponsorship accounting, ensuring proper tracking and reporting of funds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience with tax compliance, including VAT/GST, withholding taxes, and corporate income tax.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience in the sports industry or nonprofit sector is an advantage.
