Responsibility
- Monitor security infrastructure 24/7 to identify, investigate, and respond to potential security threats and anomalies.
- Manage, tune, and optimize SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms to ensure high-fidelity alerting.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate with stakeholders for prompt patch management.
- Participate in incident response drills and provide technical support during security breach investigations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation regarding security configurations, monitoring procedures, and incident reports.
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify malicious activity and unauthorized access attempts.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats and industry-standard security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or Network Security monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, QRadar) and firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and common network security protocols.
- Professional certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GCIA) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate complex security risks to non-technical stakeholders.
