Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain security protocols and measures to protect the organization's digital assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address potential risks.
- Monitor security systems and networks for irregularities and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into software and infrastructure projects.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, trends, and technologies in cybersecurity to proactively enhance security measures.
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and resolutions for future reference and improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer, Cybersecurity Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP).
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and security tasks.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
