Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, or near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with preventive measures.
- Organize and lead safety training programs, workshops, and drills for employees at all levels.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA, ISO, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with management to integrate safety best practices into daily operations and long-term strategic planning.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Promote a safety-first culture by encouraging employee engagement in safety initiatives and feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Safety Officer or similar role, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or construction.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop actionable safety plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to hazard prevention.
