Join a critical infrastructure project in Pecatu, Bali as a Road Inspector, where your expertise will ensure the safety, functionality, and longevity of vital road networks. As a Road Inspector, you will conduct routine inspections, condition assessments, and quality control checks on roads, bridges, and related structures. Your work will directly impact public safety, traffic efficiency, and the overall durability of Bali’s road systems. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with a background in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure maintenance who thrive in hands-on, field-based roles.
Based in Badung, this role may require travel to project sites across Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, and Kuta. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, local authorities, and contractors to uphold the highest standards of road infrastructure.
Responsibility
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of roads, bridges, and drainage systems to identify defects, wear, or hazards.
- Document inspection findings with detailed reports, photographs, and measurements using digital tools and software.
- Assess road surface conditions, including potholes, cracks, and pavement deterioration, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, construction standards, and project specifications for new and existing infrastructure.
- Coordinate with engineering teams and contractors to prioritize and schedule maintenance or repair works.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of road markings, signage, and traffic control devices for visibility and functionality.
- Provide technical recommendations for material selection, construction methods, and cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all work adheres to environmental and sustainability guidelines for infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in road inspection, construction supervision, or infrastructure maintenance.
- Familiarity with road construction standards (e.g., Indonesian National Standards, AASHTO) and inspection methodologies.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, GPS devices, and digital reporting software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess structural integrity and propose solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia for reporting and team coordination.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to multiple project sites in Bali.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to operate company vehicles or equipment as needed.
