Responsibility
- Oversee daily cashier operations, including opening/closing registers, processing transactions, and balancing cash drawers.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock audits and reconciling discrepancies.
- Supervise and train cashiers and inventory staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports for management review.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and ensure asset protection.
- Coordinate with the store manager to forecast inventory needs and place orders as required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards in all store operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cashiering, inventory management, or retail operations.
- Proven supervisory experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by store operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business Administration or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of retail best practices, loss prevention, and customer service standards.
