Responsibility
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restaurant premises, including dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and storage spaces, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas, ensuring tables, chairs, and equipment are properly arranged and sanitized before and after service.
- Support kitchen staff by washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, and ensuring all items are stored in an organized manner.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently, following proper segregation and disposal guidelines.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, including food supplies, beverages, and cleaning materials, while maintaining inventory records.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, or other incidents to maintain a safe and hazard-free environment for guests and staff.
- Collaborate with team members to support special events, private functions, or peak service hours, ensuring smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry (prior experience in restaurants, hotels, or resorts is a plus).
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, with a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting (up to 20 kg), and moving equipment for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues as needed.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the establishment.
- Basic English proficiency is preferred, but not mandatory; willingness to learn and improve communication skills is essential.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
