As a Research Officer/Research Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of colorectal cancer, developing innovative treatment protocols, and improving patient outcomes. Responsibility

  • Design, implement, and monitor clinical research studies focused on colorectal cancer, ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex medical and epidemiological data to identify trends, risk factors, and potential interventions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, biostatisticians, and laboratory scientists, to develop research hypotheses and methodologies.
  • Prepare and submit research proposals, grant applications, and progress reports to funding bodies and institutional review boards.
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present research outcomes at national and international conferences.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of study participants, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Provide training and supervision to junior research staff and interns, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in colorectal cancer research and integrate new technologies or methodologies into ongoing projects.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Oncology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial research experience may also be considered.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) in clinical or translational research, preferably in oncology or gastrointestinal diseases.
  • Strong proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, SAS) and data management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and ethical considerations in human subject research.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and travel occasionally for fieldwork or conferences.
