Responsibility
- Design, synthesize, and characterize lipid or polymer-based nanoparticles for efficient RNA delivery, optimizing formulations for stability, biocompatibility, and therapeutic efficacy.
- Lead experimental studies to evaluate nanoparticle performance in vitro and in vivo, including cellular uptake, biodistribution, and immunogenicity assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including molecular biologists, pharmacologists, and clinicians, to translate research findings into preclinical and clinical applications.
- Develop and validate analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, DLS, TEM, NMR) to assess nanoparticle properties and ensure reproducibility in manufacturing processes.
- Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences to advance the field of nanomedicine.
- Mentor junior researchers, graduate students, and interns, fostering a culture of innovation and scientific excellence.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in RNA therapeutics, drug delivery systems, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance and innovation.
- Contribute to grant writing and proposal development to secure funding for future research initiatives.
Qualifications
- PhD in Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with a focus on lipid or polymer formulation, drug delivery, or nanotechnology.
- Proven track record of research in nanoparticle design, characterization, and RNA/DNA delivery, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications or patents.
- Hands-on experience with techniques such as lipid synthesis, polymer chemistry, self-assembly, and nanoparticle functionalization.
- Proficiency in analytical tools like DLS, TEM, SEM, HPLC, NMR, and flow cytometry for nanoparticle analysis.
- Strong understanding of biological barriers, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity in drug delivery systems.
- Experience with cell culture, in vitro assays, and animal models for evaluating nanoparticle performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research environment.
