Responsibility
- Design and synthesize novel polymer materials with tailored mechanical properties for high-performance applications.
- Conduct experimental characterization of polymers using techniques such as DSC, DMA, TGA, and tensile testing.
- Develop and optimize polymer processing methods, including 3D printing, injection molding, and extrusion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate polymer materials into real-world applications.
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD students in polymer science and engineering.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in polymer technology and propose innovative research directions.
- Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and patent applications as needed.
Qualifications
- PhD in Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in polymer synthesis, characterization, and mechanical testing.
- Strong background in materials science, chemistry, or mechanical engineering with a focus on polymers.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as SEM, FTIR, XRD, and rheometers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
- Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals (preferred).
- Familiarity with computational modeling of polymer behavior is a plus.
