Responsibility
- Review and verify US tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IRS regulations.
- Identify discrepancies, errors, or missing information in tax documents and provide corrective recommendations.
- Collaborate with tax preparers and clients to resolve complex tax issues and ensure timely filings.
- Stay updated on changes in US tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements to maintain compliance.
- Prepare and file amended returns when necessary to correct errors or omissions.
- Maintain organized records of tax documents, communications, and client interactions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on tax-related queries.
- Utilize tax software and tools to streamline review processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or EA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in US tax preparation, review, or compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of US federal and state tax laws, regulations, and filing procedures.
- Proficiency in tax software such as TurboTax, TaxAct, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines.
