Responsibility
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero, including invoicing, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Process payroll and VAT returns, collaborating with UK-based accountants as needed.
- Generate monthly financial reports and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for property portfolios.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to clarify financial queries and ensure transparency.
- Stay updated on Xero features and UK tax regulations to optimize processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Assistant, with at least 2 years using Xero.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting principles (e.g., VAT, PAYE, Making Tax Digital).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for financial analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., AAT, ICB) or a related degree is a plus.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace in Bali.
