Responsibility
- Create original apparel designs, including sketches, technical drawings, and digital renderings.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to refine concepts based on brand guidelines and market trends.
- Select fabrics, colors, and materials that align with design vision, budget, and sustainability goals.
- Develop and present mood boards, fabric swatches, and prototypes for client approval.
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications, production feasibility, and quality standards.
- Stay updated on fashion trends, emerging technologies (e.g., 3D design tools), and industry best practices.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and client expectations.
- Provide constructive feedback to manufacturers and sample makers to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2+ years) in apparel design, fashion illustration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CLO 3D.
- Strong portfolio showcasing original designs, technical sketches, and fabric knowledge.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
- Understanding of garment construction, pattern-making, and production processes.
- Ability to interpret client briefs and translate them into creative, commercially viable designs.
- Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation in fashion.
- Familiarity with sustainable and ethical fashion practices is a plus.
