Responsibility
- Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage invoicing, billing, and payment follow-ups to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Support tax preparation and compliance by organizing financial documents and assisting with filings.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial documents, receipts, and records.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to address accounting inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, or Virtual Assistant with a focus on accounting tasks.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Wave, and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in English.
- Experience with tax preparation, payroll processing, or financial reporting is a plus.
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Trello, or Asana is advantageous.
