Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for patients of all ages, including refraction tests, binocular vision evaluations, and ocular health screenings.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and glaucoma, providing appropriate treatment plans or referrals.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring optimal visual acuity and patient satisfaction.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and the proper use and maintenance of optical products.
- Collaborate with optical dispensers and sales teams to recommend suitable eyewear solutions tailored to patients' needs and lifestyles.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, examination results, and treatment plans, in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry, including new technologies, treatments, and industry best practices.
- Participate in community outreach programs and health campaigns to promote eye health awareness in Bali.
Qualifications
- Registered as an Optometrist with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) of Singapore or equivalent international certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in optometry, preferably in a retail or private practice setting.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, tonometry, and slit-lamp biomicroscopy.
- Experience in fitting and prescribing contact lenses, including specialty lenses for conditions like keratoconus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, or Japanese) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
