Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth research on food trends, ingredients, and consumer preferences to inform product development.
- Develop and test new recipes, formulations, and prototypes to meet quality, taste, and cost targets.
- Collaborate with production, marketing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless product launches.
- Analyze and improve existing products to enhance flavor, texture, shelf life, and nutritional value.
- Document and maintain detailed records of experiments, formulations, and test results for compliance and future reference.
- Source and evaluate new ingredients and suppliers to support innovation and cost efficiency.
- Stay updated on food safety regulations, industry standards, and emerging technologies in food science.
- Present research findings and product recommendations to stakeholders in clear, data-driven reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food product development, R&D, or a similar role in the FMCG/food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food chemistry, sensory evaluation, and food processing techniques.
- Proven ability to develop and scale recipes from lab to commercial production.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, statistical tools, and food industry software (e.g., Minitab, SPSS).
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards is a plus.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a keen palate for taste testing.
