Responsibility
- Perform precise dimension measurements on plastic injection products using calibrated tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Inspect and verify product specifications against engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality standards to ensure compliance.
- Identify and document defects, deviations, or non-conformities in product dimensions, and escalate issues to the production and quality teams for corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, measurement data, and quality reports using digital or manual documentation systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
- Conduct regular audits of measurement tools and equipment to ensure calibration and accuracy, reporting any discrepancies to the maintenance team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and root cause analysis to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while performing inspections and handling measurement equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector, Dimension Measurement Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic injection or related industries.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify even minor deviations in product dimensions.
- Basic knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and familiarity with ISO 9001 or other industry standards is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot quality issues and propose effective solutions.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in quality control or metrology is advantageous.
