Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems for mechanical engineering projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections, tests, and audits of mechanical components, systems, and processes to identify defects or deviations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, non-conformance issues, and root cause analyses for management review.
- Ensure all mechanical designs, materials, and fabrication processes adhere to national and international quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and optimize production efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members on quality control procedures, best practices, and safety protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of quality assurance processes, test results, and compliance certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or construction industries.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, and mechanical testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and quality inspection tools (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively document and present findings.
- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar quality methodologies is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, API, ASTM) and their application in mechanical systems.
