In this pivotal role, you will spearhead customer complaint resolution, RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes, and internal/external audits to ensure full compliance with IATF 16949 standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), analyzing quality data, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to elevate customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
As a CQE, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain world-class quality systems, reduce defects, and enhance product reliability. Responsibility
- Lead the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and RMA requests to ensure timely and effective closure.
- Conduct and coordinate internal and external audits (including IATF 16949) to verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes, including root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys) and implementation of sustainable solutions.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to enhance product quality and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to automotive industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and customer-specific requirements.
- Train and mentor staff on quality methodologies, tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC), and best practices.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by conducting risk assessments and validating quality processes.
Qualifications
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related); Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in the automotive or semiconductor industry.
- In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other quality management systems.
- Proven expertise in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with audit management, CAPA systems, and customer-facing quality roles is a must.
