Responsibility

  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective stock replenishment.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors while maintaining Marriott's rigorous quality standards.
  • Collaborate with culinary, housekeeping, and engineering departments to forecast supply needs and eliminate stockouts.
  • Analyze purchasing data, prepare cost-benefit reports, and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the resort's budget.
  • Perform regular supplier audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to compliance, delivery schedules, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities strictly align with corporate policies, local regulations, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of training, managing, and motivating a team.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in hospitality procurement systems (e.g., Birchstreet, SAP, or Oracle) and MS Excel.
