Responsibility
- Source and procure high-quality reefer truck spare parts from reliable suppliers to ensure timely availability.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective pricing, favorable terms, and bulk discounts without compromising quality.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and coordinate with the maintenance team to forecast demand and prevent stockouts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure priority access to critical components.
- Track and analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Collaborate with the logistics and maintenance teams to align purchasing activities with repair and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations in all procurement activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, purchase orders, and contracts for audit and reference purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the transportation or cold storage industry.
- Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of reefer truck components and cold chain logistics is a significant advantage.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
