Responsibility
- Develop and execute cost-saving procurement strategies specifically for spare parts and operational assets.
- Analyze market trends and vendor pricing to ensure competitive purchasing without compromising on quality.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast spare part requirements and optimize inventory levels.
- Manage end-to-end purchasing processes, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations to maintain high service levels and reliability.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procurement workflows and reduce lead times.
- Prepare periodic procurement reports for management, highlighting key metrics such as cost savings and vendor performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving significant cost-saving targets.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Deep understanding of spare parts procurement and inventory management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
