Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to secure high-quality lighting, metalwork, and construction materials at competitive prices.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring reliable, ethical, and cost-effective partnerships.
- Lead contract negotiations with vendors to achieve optimal terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Oversee inventory management, balancing stock levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement activities with operational and budgetary goals.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Prepare and present reports and forecasts on purchasing metrics, spend analysis, and supplier performance to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or construction.
- Proven expertise in negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing for industrial materials.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, MRP systems, and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international logistics is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and procurement tools.
