Responsibility
- Provide warm, professional, and efficient service to guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience from arrival to departure.
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, using POS systems and maintaining clear communication with the kitchen and bar teams.
- Present and describe menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials, to enhance guest satisfaction and upsell where appropriate.
- Set up, maintain, and clear dining areas, ensuring tables are clean, well-presented, and ready for guests in a timely manner.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with diplomacy and a solutions-oriented approach to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service during peak hours.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of cutlery, glassware, and tableware.
- Assist in training new staff members and contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a waiter/waitress or front-of-house role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Turkish, or other European languages) are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and order-taking procedures.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the restaurant’s schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays or equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with Turkish cuisine or Middle Eastern hospitality is advantageous but not required.
